The transport/utility version of the S-70 Black Hawk is a proven, rugged and versatile helicopter designed for quick reconfiguration. It takes only minutes to remove the paratroop seats and reconfigure the helicopter to carry cargo and supplies. In its transport/utility configuration, the S-70 Black Hawk can carry 12 soldiers and two gunners. In addition, it is equipped with a cargo hook for external sling load and a rescue hoist for search and rescue missions.
In-service S-70 Black Hawk transport/utility helicopters can be retrofitted to perform additional operations including, but not limited to, medical evacuation or be equipped with additional internal or external crashworthy fuel tanks.
The transport/utility configuration features the Integrated Vehicle Health Monitoring System (IVHMS) to monitor the helicopter's operational health for use by pilots during missions and ground personnel after landing.
The advanced multi-role version of the S-70 Black Hawk helicopter also supports Combat Search and Rescue (CSAR) missions. These are some of the most difficult and demanding missions performed by helicopters. The advanced multi-role version includes a state-of-the-art, dual digital automatic flight control system coupled with the CSAR automatic approach.
PZL Mielec offers the CSAR cabin, which enables the aircrew to perform their tasks in the most efficient yet safe manner with the advanced multi-role configuration.
