PZL Mielec Bolsters European Reach with German Order for Two M28s

MIELEC, November 25, 2025 – PZL Mielec, a Lockheed Martin company, has signed a contract to deliver two M28 05 aircraft to German customer PD Sicherheit GmbH. The aircraft will be used for several specialized military trainings missions.

The M28 aircraft for PD Sicherheit GmbH will be delivered in a troop transport configuration, with deliveries scheduled for 2026 and 2027.

The new contract continues the cooperation between PZL Mielec and PD Sicherheit, which began in 2017 with the delivery of two M28 aircraft. PD Sicherheit currently operates four M28 aircraft in its fleet and also utilizes maintenance services and spare parts support provided by PZL Mielec.

The M28 aircraft support PD Sicherheit in conducting specialized training for special forces and police counterterrorism units. They are primarily used for parachute training and other special operations, such as cargo drops. The operator also cooperates with the armed forces of several countries within the NATO alliance.

The M28 is a versatile twin-engine turboprop aircraft designed to operate in demanding terrain and climatic conditions – from unpaved runways to extreme weather environments. The aircraft is used by both civilian and military customers around the world, from South America to Southeast Asia.
