PZL Mielec Continues Black Hawk® Helicopter Deliveries to Philippine Air Force

MIELEC, August 18, 2025 – PZL Mielec, a Lockheed Martin company, continues delivery of Black Hawk^® helicopters in 2025 to the Philippine Department of National Defense (DND), under the DND’s Additional Utility Helicopters Acquisition Project.  This month, five helicopters entered service with the Philippine Air Force.

The S-70i™ Black Hawk combat utility helicopters operated by the Philippine Air Force are used in a wide range of military missions and tasks across the diverse conditions of the archipelago—from advanced tactical exercises and rapid humanitarian response, support for military operations in the jungle, to support for security operations. The rugged, reliable Black Hawk is an essential tool in strengthening maneuver, rescue, and combat capabilities in a demanding environment.

For example, in exercises in April, the PAF used their Black Hawks as part of a joint training exercise conducted by the 205th Tactical Helicopter Wing in coordination with the Philippine Navy aboard the BRP Davao del Sur. In May, the PAF and the U.S. Air Force completed the joint Cope Thunder Philippines that involved aircraft from both fleets. The PAF S-70i Black Hawks were part of a comprehensive program of flight and field training exercises.
