On June 11, 2021 at the castle in Baranów Sandomierski during the conference "EURO-PARK MIELEC - from tradition to industry 4.0", President Janusz Zakrecki received a commemorative statuette for the company for contribution to the development of SSE Euro-Park Mielec.
The occasion for the meeting was the celebration of the 30th anniversary of the Industrial Development Agency S.A. and the 25th anniversary of the Euro-Park Mielec Special Economic Zone.
Among the invited guests were representatives of state institutions, local government authorities and representatives of companies from Mielec. PZL Mielec was represented by the President of the Management Board, CEO Janusz Zakręcki, who highlighted a significant role of the Mielec’s Zone in the economic development:
“Thanks to the Special Economic Zone in Mielec, we continue our development. This year, we received another permit to operate in the SSE Euro-Park Mielec. I hope, in the near future, there will be more tools and opportunities for industry” - said the president of PZL Mielec during the ceremony.
The award received is a proof of recognition of the ARP authorities for PZL Mielec for their contribution to the development and promotion of the Euro-Park Mielec in recent years.
The current area of the Euro-Park Mielec is over 1700 hectares. The zone operates in 19 poviats in the following voivodeships: Podkarpackie, Malopolskie, Slaskie and Zachodniopomorskie. At the end of March 2021, its capital expenditure reached 11.6 billion PLN, providing jobs for over 35,000 people. It is the oldest Special Economic Zone in the country.
